Description: This hostel is cheap, friendly, and perfect for travellers looking for excitement. Located right in the middle of the Palermo Hollywood bar strip, and not far from Palermo Viejo, this place is great for those who want to enjoy the hippest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. The hostel itself consists of two dormitory rooms and three private rooms. There is a common room with couches, a PlayStation, a cd player and a mountain of cds for guests to enjoy. Do not forget to check out the rooftop terrace and a large back garden with hammocks to relax in. The excellent location and friendly staff make Casa Esmerelda a terrific destination for those looking for a cheap, but quality stay in Buenos Aires.

Description: The Che Lulu Guest House is a stylish hotspot for those looking for something trendy though still being able to stick to a budget. Each bedroom is decorated by a different local designer, but some are somewhat miniature. The house is located in stylish Palermo Viejo and not far from local amenities. Creaky wooden stairs lined with lit candles lead up to the rooms on the second floor. One room called ‘Chiqui’ has a twin bed and a bath, while ‘Victoria’ is dominated by an impressive glass chandelier and wall hangings. The owner Rodrigo is a very charismatic individual and is an old hand at travelling. Description: This family friendly hotel is located in a converted house containing 10 bedrooms, a large garden to relax in, and a dance studio. The owners are two tango dancers (hence the dance studio) with free tango lessons included in the cost of your stay along with a lovely breakfast as well. The hotel itself is situated at walking distance from Palermo Hollywood, Palermo Viejo and Las Cañitas, some of the hippest neighbourhoods in the area.

BoBo Hotel and Restaurant

Description: The BoBo Hotel and Restaurant is situated in the Palermo Soho district of Buenos Aires, consisting of a large 1920’s mansion. The name of the hotel hails from the words of a book by journalist David Brooks ‘Bobos in Paradise’, a book about the emerging class of “bourgeois bohemians”. The BoBo is a hipster hangout and a classy hotel, as well as a restaurant with a special Argentine-Mediterranean-Asian menu.
