Argentina has won the right to host the upcoming prestigious 8th annual International Congress of the Spanish Language. The event is to be held in Cordoba, Argentina in 2019 and will emphasize the educational and cultural aspects of Spanish and the impact of technology on the language. Special attention will also be paid to the “economic value” of Spanish, with phenomena such as language tourism and cultural industries linked to language to be discussed.
