Argentina chosen best country to study abroad

The Argentine capital Buenos Aires now ranks 25th, above all other cities in Latin America, Portugal, and Spain, in the University Raking QS 2018 (Ranking Universitario QS2018) that chooses the best schools in the world.

Fernando Straface, Secretary General of International Relations of the City of Buenos Aires, mentioned that the amount of international students is a distinctive characteristic of the global cities improves talent movement and knowledge production and that Buenos Aires is the capital of talent in Latin America. It’s a city where many students go to study when on a ‘study abroad’.

Buenos Aires is also a very popular destination for people that want to learn Spanish in a country where the language is spoken.

British agency Quacquerelly Symonds made this study and showed that the Argentinian capital has grown in quality of research; it went from 42nd place to the 25 in this global ranking. This ranking included education quality, the number of international students and purchase power of students.

Only last year, 61 000 students from around the world arrived in Buenos Aires for exchange programmes, postgraduate degrees, masters or short courses of, at least, a year. In 2017, the Ministry of Tourism of the Buenos Aires Government, along with the programme Study Buenos Aires, signed an agreement with 22 universities, UBA amongst them, to increase student arrivals in the city.
