On Sunday 1 November, the Boca Juniors won their 25th Argentine soccer league title when they won with 1-0 against Tigre. The match was played at La Bombonera, home of the Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires.

The team, coached by Rodolfo Arruabarrena, needed a win to secure the soccer title without having to depend on other results. In the 42nd minute, defender Fabian Monzon scored the winning goal with a header from a corner.

They now have 64 points which they gained over 29 matched. They now have a six points lead over San Lorenzo. Next Sunday, they will play their last match against CA Rosario at Rosario Central.

It is the club’s first win since 2011.
