La Noche de los Muesos in Buenos Aires!

This Saturday, October 29th, is the annual Museum Night in Buenos Aires. This night is all about indulging yourself in culture, art and history, whether it is international or from Argentina. All museums will open their doors for the big crowds that gather in the city centre on this night. Not only are museums participating, but also various galleries, governmental institutions and private historic buildings are creating space for the cultural events. Museum Night will hold live music, theater, exhibitions and dance performances throughout the city.

Prepare for La Noche de los Museos in Buenos Aires!

As Buenos Aires has more than 240 museums, there are many events to choose from. It is possible to participate in a walking route through the city, starting at Casa de Cultura on Avenida de Mayo. In the same area, visitors can go to the Bank of London, Cit y Legislature, the Cabildo and the World Tango Museum.

In Puerto Madero, the normally expensive exhibit of Colección de Arte Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat is now open for free. Other interesting sites are the old Munich brewery, the Humor museum, the Frigate President Sarmiento Museum and the Corbeta Uruguay Museum.

The cultural centre of Recoleta, which is located in the middle of the culturally rich neighbourhood of Recoleta, will be one of the main sites to visit during Museum Night. The Architectural Museum, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and Palais de glace are also close by. Many events and exhibitions will be held at these places and at other locations.

The Southern neighborhood of La Boca brings exhibitions from the Fine Art Museum to the waterfront, where there are live performances. In this area, you can also visit the Fundación Proa, Teatro de La Libera and El Rincón de Lucia Tenement Museum.
