25th of April – 13th of May- International Book Fair. Buenos Aires is known as a very literary city, and a great place to experience this is the annual book fair. You can thumb through books, buy some, and attend seminars. The theme of the festival this year is Books as Bridges, with a special focus on literature from Holland.

9th of May – Gallery Nights. The monthly art event will take place at galleries in Palermo, Recoleta and Retiro.

9-19th of May – Festival Polo Circo. Although new to the city, the annual circus fest has expanded rapidly and will have many astounding performances from circus acts all over the world.

11-12th of May – Buenos Aires Market. Over 60 vendors will be selling healthy and organic products. The market will be at the intersection of Sarmiento and Libertador Avenue. In case of rain the market will be postponed until the following weekend.

21-26th of May – Feria Puro Diseño. The best of Argentine designers will be displaying their wares at La Rural.

24-27th of May – Arte BA. The local artistic community es excited because May hosts the most important contemporary art festival of the year, held at La Rural.
