Buenos Aires in February: What to do?

With vacations coming to an end, and most BA inhabitants returning to their everyday lives, people start putting the yearly events into their diaries. Here’s our list of what to do for anyone visiting Argentina and Buenos Aires during February.
Carnaval 2013: Costumes, percussion instruments and fiestas in every neighbourhood between the 8th and 12th of February. Parque Centenario also boasts fiestas on Friday 11th, 18th, 25th and on March 4th as part of the celebrations.
Shakespeare Festival: 8th-16th of February – The centre of culture in South America celebrates one of the worlds most famous playwrights. The festival uses theatre but also a festival of live music and the recreation of a medieval village to laud Shakespeare and his works.
Ultra Electronic Music Festival: 19th & 23rd of February- This internationally famous music festival brings its bops and beats to Buenos Aires, with bands such as Avicii, Dash Berlin, Armin Van Buuren and Carl Cox starring.
Live music:
Jamiroquai: February 15. Club Ferro will be bursting at the seams with both people and great music from the British music artist.
Fatboy Slim: February 16. Pacha will be experiencing a special set from this world famous DJ.
Andrew Bird: February 26. Niceto in Palermo will be hosting this indie artist, whose live show starts at 9pm.
