The voting system in Buenos Aires has a premiere! For the upcoming elections on the 5th of July, it will be the first time that the people of Buenos Aires are able to vote electronically. In the weeks before the election, the local government promoted the new system to let the public get acquainted with voting electronically. In various locations in the city, a test machine allowed people to try and get comfortable with this new Sistema de Boleta Única Electrónica (BUE) or the unique electronic ticket system. There is also a web page that allows people to see all the candidates. The election on the 5th of July is meant for choosing the new head and assistant in the local government.
